Live from Jawnhannesberg, it’s episode 58. The guys talk some NHL and MLB free agency to start things off, did your team get any good players or lose any? Let us know! How about thatAnderson Silva and that UFC PPV what just happened? People got punched and stuff. Hey,Windows 8 is coming out soon and it’s going to be $39.99 for an upgrade. Cool huh? Then you get a big review of The Amazing Spider-man, which was a bit crap. Share us, rate us and stuff.
Welcome back to the Jawnosphere for episode 57! The guys return with several topics for your consumption. Tom gave SimCity Social a spin because he has friends. The guys also ponder how few friends people who nerd out for Highlander must have in the wake of the news that Ryan Reynolds is going to play Connor McLeod in the remake of a movie that was lousy to begin with. The guys discuss much of the big news coming out of Google I/O 2012 like tablets, Jelly Beans and glowing media streaming orbs from the future! Plus check out Cinematic Titanic on Hulu, it makes Tom irrationally angry.
It’s episode 56! So what’s on this episode? That’s a clown question, bro. We got the Microsoft Surface a tablet that is actually pretty damn cool, then we have the 3DS XL which is not cool at all. Martin speaks on the passing of b-movie villain extraordinaire Richard Lynch and then the guys have slightly spoilery takes on Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and the Asylum knock-off Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies. One of those movies was really awful and the other was just kinda bad. WHICH ONE IS WHICH?! You will just have to watch until the end! Share, subscribe and rate! Thank you for listening!
Tom: Paul verohoven (I think I forgot on o or an e) is going to make a movie about Jesus. I really hope it takes place on mars.
Martin: SEE YOU AT DER PARDY JUDAS
Bill: GET THY ASS TO MARS
Martin: Mary Magdalene will have three tits
Martin: The Book of ED209
Bill: I’d buy that for 30 pieces of silver!
Martin: Ronnie Cox would make an awesome Pontius Pilate
Bill: “I’ll crucify Jesus and be home in time for Corn Flakes”
Martin: AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAA!!!
The guys are back with their very Prometheus heavy show. Before that however there is some sports talk (you missed that, right?) and some other movie talk like Predator turning 25, Martin’s online campaign against the Robocop reboot (#NOBOCOP) and the increasingly sorry state of Adam Sandler’s career. Then lots of lovely juicy Prometheus goodies both non-spoilery then spoilery in nature. Go see the movie so you can listen to the whole damn thing!
Episode 54 is here folks! E3 2012 dominates the discussion with talk of terrible conferences but really awesome looking video games (take a look at the videos after the break). The guys also touch upon Prometheus (look out for a full review next week once Martin has seen it), news that the iPhone is going prepaid, and game developer Crytek’s decision to Free to Play. Random junk ensues and fun is had, so check it out! Follow us across social networks (we’re on Tumblr now too) and leave us messages wherever you would prefer. Thanks for listening!
It’s episode 52 of The Super Jawncast! The guys celebrate a year of whatever the hell this is that they do with a bumper-size episode. A whole bunch of stuff is discussed including sad signs of financial strife in the video game industry such as Gamestop’s desperate new measures and the sudden destruction of Curt Schilling’s 38 Studios. Movie news follows such as SyFy’s awesome June line-up of new movies, the delay of G.I. Joe: Retaliation and James Bond changing his beverage preference to Heiniken?!. Plus there’s going to be a Rufio movie. Yeah Rufio. From Hook. The movie – Hook. With Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman. Yes, Dustin Hoffman. Yeah we know, you don’t care either. Taking up the rear is a look at the website service UDiligence and the guys separate a year of podcastery by sharing some stories from their days working in the same video game store where they became friends in the first place! A little longer than usual which just means more EVEN MORE FUN, so check it out. Please share, subscribe, vote and do whatever the links on the right of Nerdy Little Secret will allow you to. Thank you for your listenership and support.
It’s the 51st episode and the guys are back with more of the usual sarcasm, trolling and random gross weirdness. You might want to avoid eating if you plan on listening to the conversation about truck stops that opens the episode. After that they talk about Facebook going public, how their #ThrowbackJawns are going and what older games deserved sequels but never got them. Then, Martin struggles through reviews of Battleship andAmerican Warships for your uncomfortable listening pleasure. Check us out on Facebook, Twitter, G+ and Stitcher through the links over there and thanks for listening!
The guys are back for Episode 50 of The Super Jawncast and it’s a rollicking good time! Did you enjoy the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen movie? Then Bill hates you. Bioshock Infinitehas been delayed but perhaps in the meantime you can get some friends together and check out Artemis, the closest you can get to simulating the bridge of the Starship Enterprise. Also on the docket is HBO’s piracy issues and the guys play a round of Metagame. Finally, the guys launch into a random and spoilerific look at The Avengers so if you have somehow not seen that yet you should rectify that so you can hear the seriously messed up direction that conversation goes in. Please share the show, praise/admonish/troll us across the social networks of your choice, and thank you for listening!
It’s the Super Jawncast and once she sees our stacks I bet you that she calls. The baddest podcast of them all is back with a bitching 77 minutes of podcast stuff. The guys talk the inconsistencies in sports suspensions and how changes to games like the Enforcer Rulehave changed the nature of some games. What follows is a lot of movie talk such as the new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises and a discussion of an interesting theory about what Joseph Gordon-Levitt is doing in the movie. B-movie talk follows with After Dark Action (when mediocre horror movies are not enough!) and Universal suing The Asylum over American Battleship. The Dragon’s Dogma demo gets mentioned too, it’s pretty good and you get to stab monsters in the butt. Also, the future of rap is discovered. A great show so please rate, share, communicate, and get involved with a #ThrowbackJawn of your own.
